Pop-Up Producer started off as a fun Halloween costume. One day I was talking to a friend about what we would be doing for the holiday and I thought to my self “I’m always producing music, why not turn my self into a walking music studio?” And so I produced a beat and got people at a party to sing on it, and like any truly ridiculous idea it stuck.

I’ve always naturally brought a Ukulele or some fun instrument anywhere I went, and doing the same as a producer seemed like a natural evolution of the idea. Soon I had a camera and light and couldn’t stop my self. I would “Produce” the world around me.

Now of course Pop-Up Producer isn’t JUST a spur of the moment idea. It’s backed by two decades of tinkering with microphones, producing records, creating art, studying electronics, writing songs, being in bands, and just loving the process of being creative. It’s put me in a truly unique position to produce other peoples creative visions to an incredible degree. I’ve always had room in my house dedicated to producing music, and as the space has grown so has my craft. Now when someone wants to swing over a swimming pool singing ‘la Bamba’ I’m the guy who says “Well, first we’re gonna need a truss system.”
